My name is Lori Jill Isenstadt and I am an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant. You will find more detailed information about myself at the bottom of this page as well as my About Me page.

I am honored  you are joining other moms who have allowed me to help guide them on their journey from pregnancy to postpartum. As an expert in this field, you can rely on me to listen to all your questions and concerns. I take your hopes, dreams, fears, anxieties very seriously and help you figure things out during what is sometimes a confusing time period. My strengths are in taking our conversations, filtering through  the information and helping you come to a place of understanding, of clarity and taking action when needed. My goal is for you to have the smoothest experience possible by having me as your shoulder to lean on and your resource for all things maternity related.

Breastfeeding Class online through Skype

This class is recommended for all moms who are planning on breastfeeding.

Class info includes:

1. Getting started with breastfeeding – The first few days
2. How to recognize newborn feeding cues
3. How to know if when your baby is hungry and full
4. How to know if your baby has a good latch
5. Signs of a poor latch
6. How do you know when your baby is getting enough at breast
7. The most common concerns regarding newborn breastfeeding
8. Recognizing problems and learning how to prevent them.
9. Helping your partner be involved and enjoy this experience too

You also can choose from the following topics or add your own to discuss:

1. Breastpump information
2. Returning to work – pumping and storage guidelines
3. Best breastfeeding products – pillows, bras, etc.
4. Community Resources

Prenatal Skype Consult

This consult is recommended for moms who have specific concerns that need to be addressed outside of the regular Breastfeeding class. The following topics are examples of what might be covered. You will fill out a questionnaire before we meet to ensure we are productive with our time and that we cover all topics you need to.

Your breast anatomy 

* surgery – implants, reduction, biopsies
*scar tissue
*breast tissue sensitivity

Your nipple anatomy

*flat, inverted
*piercings
*trauma from previous breastfeeding eperience

Concerns regarding – your health issues, prescription medication & breastfeeding safety
Trauma from past physical or sexual abuse, or from previous birth experience
Concerns about partner or family support

Complete Skype Consult Packages

Comprehensive Packages – Taking you through the Four Trimesters –  1st, 2nd, 3rd trimester of pregnancy and the 4th trimester postpartum

Below are suggested topics that we can discuss during your Preparation for the Four Trimesters Consult. You will receive a questionnaire to fill out and return before our session/s together.

1. Choosing your healthcare provider – example – physician or midwife or naturopath
2. Choosing your place of birth – hospital, birthing center in hospital, free standing birthing center, home
3. Choosing childbirth classes that meet your needs
4. Previous birth experience – work through any concerns or trauma
5. Products to purchase – I strive to save you time and money
6. Doulas – birth and postpartum doulas – Is this for you?
7. Partner support
8. Other support you may need such as – childcare, back to work support
9. Holistic parenting support –such as massage, acupuncture, homeopathy, chiropractors, other therapy

When choosing which package is best for you, please keep in mind that we can cover about 4-5 topics during each 1 hour session. When you choose the 3 or 5 hour session package, we will have a few weeks in between each session. This gives you an opportunity to digest the information and come back with feedback. As we work together, and the more you learn, you will realize that you are feeling more relaxed and cared for during the process. Knowledge and preparation are the key to a smooth transition to motherhood.

*The All About Mothering Membership site is a private password protected website that offers exclusive content with ongoing breastfeeding education and support.  You will also be pleased with all the information added to the site on topics that cover conception, pregnancy, birth and postpartum.
